Malaysian motorcycle accident problem addressed

The authorities in Malaysia are so concerned about the possibility of motorcycle accidents during the festive month of February that they're offering hard cash in exchange for photos of road users infringing traffic laws.
The month of February sees a huge increase in the number of people involved in motorbike accidentsand car crashes as hundreds of thousands of Malaysia's ethnic Chinese community pour out of the towns and cities to celebrate the Lunar New Year with relatives in the countryside.
Such was the extent of the carnage on the road during February 2006 that the Malaysian Transport Minister, Chan Kong Choy, has asked snap-happy members of the public to send in photos of dangerous drivers in action.
He has announced that for each day of the month, 150 ringgit (£22) will be awarded for the clearest photo, followed by 100 ringgit for second place and 50 ringgit for third. Budding sleuths can bid for the prize by sending their photos to the transport department's website.
Mr Chan told local journalists, "This move is hoped to reduce the rate of road deaths that always rise with each festive season."
More than 3,600 people died from serious personal injuries sustained in motorcycle accidents in Malaysia last year and many of the deaths are known to have taken place during February's festivities.
A vast majority of the road accidents are blamed on speeding and tiredness and this year 5,000 traffic police and 1,200 road safety officers will be strategically placed around the country in an attempt to cut the fatality rate.
Especially concerned at the number of people killed in motorcycle accidents, Chan Kong Choy encouraged riders to consider other ways of travelling and said, "The Government is encouraging this group of people to use public transportation throughout the festive season to avoid deaths."

What is crime?

A crime is an action or omission that constitutes an offense that may be prosecuted by the state and is punishable by law. I think the crime is poor people's mistake I understand offender's mind. For sure, they have to do something wrong because of their surrounding. But they have to get punishment and I think punishment is their medicine. They will get it the thing they did is really terrible and they won't do the crime except some psychos.

My ideas of Law

A law is the rule that all of people have to follow. Maybe it is little hard to follow but most of people is following the law.
I am sure if law is disappear right now, the world will be collapsed because if there is no rule we can do everything that we want. We can kill people and we can steal someone's things.Only strong people will be survive and weak people will die.
I believe law is the most important thing in the world.

5 Famous quote about the law

Judge: a law student who marks his own examination-papers.
H. L Mencken

Mencken was an American journalist. He likes to make fun with his journal and essay.
This quote also making fun with his joke. I think it means even students who are studying the law, they can't follow all the law.

Law, without force, is impotent.
Blaise Pascal

Blaise Pascal was a French writer. I think the quote means law is useless without any punishment, he wants to say law needs a suitable punishment.

There's a simple way to solve the crime problem: obey the law; punish those who do not.
Rush Limbaugh

Rush Limbaugh is an american commentator. It shows exactly what's the definition of the law

There are not enough jails, not enough police, not enough courts to enforce a law not supported by the people.
Hubert H. Humphrey

It means there are really too many people who are not following all the small laws.

The safety of the people shall be the highest law.
Marcus Tullius Cicero

I think it means Highest laws protect people.
